Methodology of the system

Proposed prototype system is shown in Figure 1. The methodology of proposed system can be seen as two conversions as follows.

• Sinhala Sign language to Sinhala text
• Sinhala speech to Sinhala sign language

The conversion process of Sinhala Sign language to Sinhala text is shown in Figure2. Images which is captured by a web camera, are preprocessed and then detect the sign to convert to Sinhala text.
